Jena Ocean
I began my yoga journey doing Bikram yoga in Fullerton, California at age 15 as a way to stretch between water polo and swim practices, and have been a student of yoga ever since. For me, yoga is the practice of re-wiring the nervous system into something more malleable and peaceful. My style is power yoga, and I follow an arc similar to the baptiste method. I like to get people sweating and breathing through challenges, with the intention of shedding layers; of coming back home to yourself. Play is very important to me, so I try to incorporate lightness and play into my classes whenever possible.
Off the mat, I enjoy surfing, swimming, traveling, theater, and trying new things! Currently, I’m re-learning to speak Mandarin.
